Do you really come up to the foothills?
Yes. We are based in Carmichael and serve Auburn, Grass Valley, Nevada City, Placerville, Shingle Springs, Cameron Park, Jackson, Sutter Creek, Sonora and nearby. For the farther towns we plan visits and work days ahead of time.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. Consultations by phone or from your photos are free. If you would like an in-person visit, there is a $50 fee.
How do I know if my chimney needs repair?
Common signs are a cracked or crumbling crown on top, loose or missing brick, wide open mortar joints, a leaning chimney top, or water stains near the chimney inside the house. Send us photos and we can tell you what we see.
Can you match my old brick?
We match brick and mortar color as closely as possible using used and matching brick. No match on old masonry is ever perfect, but a careful repair blends in with the original.
Do you work on historic buildings?
Yes, we repair older brick homes and buildings. Tell us about the building and send photos so we can talk through the right approach.
Do you remove paint from brick?
No, we do not strip paint off brick. For paint removal we recommend a paint-removal specialist.
